Nichola Taylorson’s design journey began in 2011 after graduating from Leeds College of Art in the UK with focus on Printed Textiles & Surface Pattern Design. Initially working in Mumbai for a furnishing fabric manufacturer, she became immersed in Indian culture and inspired by traditional craft techniques of block and mud print which is the concept behind her designs. Nichola currently designs out of her studio in the UK and works closely with artisans in Jaipur to create her hand-printed and hand-embroidered textiles using 100% natural fabrics.
